The Museum of Miniature Found Objects is delighted to present this month's Great Moment in World History exhibit. On display in the Palm Court Tea Rooms, it depicts the moment when Gunpowder Gertie, the Pirate Queen of the Kootenays, comes upon the Gatling gun that will begin her reign of terror in late Victorian Canada.

The Museum of Miniature Found Objects celebrated the opening of an exciting new venture this week, the MMFO Luxury Spa and Water Therapies Treatment Centre (entrance via the Wild West Suite). The recent survey conducted at the museum found that whilst many visitors enjoyed the MMFO's cultural facilities, they were also seeking to add value to their experience through retail and relaxation opportunities. Spa treatments were what visitors were seeking in particular. To inaugurate this thrilling new development, the MMFO will be featuring water-themed exhibits throughout January, kicking off with a film event, featuring The Deep by PES.*

A recent survey conducted at the Museum of Miniature Found Objects found many visitors were deeply concerned by what they felt was a lack of elegance and good taste in the museum displays, with a large number of respondents mentioning the recent body hair exhibit in particular. However, the museum strongly advises visitors that they are not permitted to rearrange the displays as a consequence of these findings. The 'Dental Hygiene: A Global History' exhibit required extensive reconstructive work and resulted in the Marsala Potts Wing being closed to visitors on Wednesday afternoon. Any individual found tampering with exhibits will be ejected from the premises.

The Museum of Miniature Found Objects boldly steps into 2014 with a challenging modernist piece in the Estruscan Lounge. Curators were asked to select at random pieces from the archives at the museum. To guide them in this process, they were blindfolded and asked to move freely among the objects in the museum's storage vaults, stopping only to select an item when a small gong was struck. They were then asked to assemble a display from these items, using as a guide a non-significant event that had occurred to each of them on 3 January. Untitled #1 (View from the Window) is the thrilling result, and will be on display all this month.
