An excited crowd gathering outside the Museum of Miniature Found Objects this morning, following the announcement that a herd of miniature cows will be on display from noon in the Great Court, where specially prepared pasture has already been laid in readiness. These cows have been bred in the museum laboratories, which have been working in collaboration with scientists at Liverpool University, in an attempt to replicate the work of Stott's Fantastical Emporium. The Palm Court Tea Rooms will be serving a range of limited-edition milk drinks, in celebration.

Over the summer months, visitors to the Museum of Miniature Found Objects will have noticed an intriguing series of displays in the foyer, curated by graduates of our 2018 Fun Summer Activities Programme. The MMFO is delighted to introduce this week's display, 'Extravagant History: The Disjunction of Dilettantism', assembled by the reception class at St Ninian's School of Podiatry, with special thanks to Raoul Théière, Curator of Body Parts.

As reported on social and mainstream media over the past week, a remarkable event has taken place at the Museum of Miniature Found Objects. Whilst demonstrating the Anti-Forgery Auto Compactor, Hedwig Peeves (Apprentice Curator) was pulled into the machine by his tie when it caught in the item being fed into the AFAC. Fortunately the damage to his head was not severe and on his return to work last week, he reported that hair on his head had started to grow again. As a sufferer of premature baldness, this had caused him some considerable surprise. Currently the Vitoria Hair Institute is investigating the possibility that the miniaturisation process is the cause of Mr Peeves' hair regrowth.

Last Thursday's demonstration of the AFAC proved highly popular with visitors to the museum, as a number of forged miniature found objects were removed from circulation through their destruction. The museum would like to announce another facility available to the general public. Where a found object proves to be outside the scope of acceptable measurements, it can be reduced in size to the correct dimensions for sending in, when passed through the AFAC. This service will be available from next Monday for items members of the public wish to submit but which are currently too large (please book an appointment through the Museum Gift Shop).
