Many of our visitors at the Museum of Miniature Found Objects have sought advice on how to submit items to the collection. To aid visitors to both the museum and the website, Mrs Beryl van Buren, Keeper of Collections, is delighted to be launching a useful guide to this process after extensive research and consultation. The necessary steps required are presented here in a fully accessible form, and we hope this makes the experience of donating an enjoyable one for all our visitors.

Ms Ludmilla Pomodoro, former Keeper of Collections at the Museum of Miniature Found Objects, was arrested earlier this year in Zurich. She was due to appear at the Old Bailey on Thursday 18 July, charged with running an international ring dealing in miniature artefacts stolen from museums around the world and sold on to private collectors. However, in a dramatic turn of events, Pomodoro absconded en route to court. Whilst news is still sketchy, it’s believed the security van transporting her was forced off the road and smashed open by a number of her accomplices. Pomodoro was last seen being driven off at speed in a black BMW. The Museum of Miniature Found Objects deplores this turn of events and urges Ms Pomodoro to hand herself in to the police at the earliest opportunity.

This week the legendary Les Girls du Can Can from the Moulin Rouge in Paris take up their summer residency at the Royal Opera House here in London. They've designed an exciting programme of dance over the coming months, and in honour of this, Raoul Théière, curator of body parts at the Museum of Miniature Found Objects, has created a thought-provoking exhibit around the theme of bodily sounds and their role in organogenics. This challenging new work is on display all week in the Palm Court Tea Rooms.

The National Entertainment Enforcement Authority paid a surprise visit this week to the Museum of Miniature Found Objects. Whilst overall the museum scored highly on NEEA's Customer Enjoyment Quality Index (87.4% of visitors said they 'had fun' visiting the site), several areas were recommended for improvement. In particular the 'Highlights from Dental Hygiene History' display fell below NEEA's recommended enjoyment standards, with visitors describing it as only 'mildly interesting' and 'I didn’t know it was there'. However, NEEA felt the Rivoli Rooftop Bistro provided an excellent standard of refreshment, with customer comments including, 'the views are what I come for', 'the cheapest cup of tea in London!' and 'the bean and marrow surprise is interesting'.
