The Museum of Miniature Found Objects is the delighted recipient of a generous donation from the estate of Sir Winston Marsala Potts. On Friday this fine example of a nineteenth-century carte de visite was delivered to the museum's collection. It belonged to Etienne Potts, an ancestor of Sir Winston. It's understood, whilst in Paris, Potts paid a visit to Napoléon III, and the Emperor being out when he called, Potts left this card. A grateful French nation later donated the card to Sir Winston.
